SPECIAL: First Look at 2020 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Merchandise

The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is almost here and we’ve got a look at some of the fun merchandise that you can purchase at this year’s festival. Catch all the details below.

The 2020 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will blossom again at Walt Disney World Resort. This year’s event will feature delectable bites at Outdoor Kitchens, as well as dozens of world-renowned, Disney-themed topiaries. In addition, exclusive festival merchandise will be available at Epcot for guests to purchase. Collections featuring Orange Bird, Minnie, Mickey and Spike the Bee will be arriving and I couldn’t be more excited!

Orange Bird’s Hello Sunshine Collection 

Disney history fans may be familiar with Orange Bird, but now fans will be able to purchase merchandise ranging from headwear, apparel and drinkware inspired by Orange Bird! The merchandise showcases his spunky attitude infused with his iconic citrus-inspired design. I am so excited for this new Orange Bird headband that compliments other vibrant pieces within the collection!

Minnie’s Flower Cart

Minnie Mouse has brought blooming fashion to this year’s festival. Inspired by the array of floras found on a flower cart, this collection brings pastel shades to life through apparel, headwear, accessories and more. This collection includes a flower crown, multiple apparel pieces and Dooney & Bourke wristlet, crossbody, and tote.

Mickey’s Farmers Market

Commemorate your visit to this year’s festival with home grown dated must haves! Take home merchandise inspired by your local farmers market showcasing fresh and colorful produce. Apparel, accessories and drinkware will be available.

Spike’s Sweet as can Bee Collection

If you’re buzzin’ around the festival this year –you’ll find new merchandise inspired by Spike the Bee and Donald. When he’s not tormenting Mickey and friends, Spike is as sweet as can ‘bee’! Merchandise ranging from headwear, apparel and accessories can be found at this year’s festival.

Passholder Exclusives 

No Epcot festival would be complete without Figment! Passholders will have exclusive merchandise inspired by Figment reminding guests to dream green. Plus, starting March 4, Passholders can purchase brand-new watering can mugs designed just for them. Passholders can also purchase two additional designs featuring Spike the Bee and Figment, debuting on April 20. Plus, they can use their 20% discount on all merchandise! Disney Parks Wishables

Just in time to enjoy the spring season, one of the new #DisneyParksWishables collections for this month, inspired by the 2020 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is available on March 4 at Epcot and online at shopDisney.com! This collection offers the open-chase edition of Mickey Mouse, with Minnie Mouse, Frushi, Figment Topiary and Butterfly in the blind bags — just in time for this year’s festival!

It’s Springtime at Walt Disney World! Do you know what that means? Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is underway! That’s right, from March 4 to June 1, 2020, guests with valid park admission can explore Epcot surrounded with endless beauty of all things celebrating spring. Grab a friend’s arm, and skip with us through this year’s highlights that you don’t want to miss!

1 – Disney-Themed Topiaries

Get those cameras ready because this year the Flower and Garden Festival is boasting more than 100 world-renowned Disney-themed topiaries. This array of living sculptures shaped like beloved Disney characters are simply breathtaking and provide a unique surprise around every twist and turn. Some topiaries are repeats from previous years (such as Lady and the Tramp in Italy or Snow White and Dopey in Germany) but they are as beautiful as ever. Be on the lookout for topiaries such as Belle and the Beast in France, Donald Duck with Huey, Dewey, and Louie in Showcase Plaza, Stitch near Mission Space, and The Three Caballeros in Mexico. Be sure to stop at Bo Peep’s Playtime Training Grounds in Future World! Bo Peep and her sheep look great!

2 – Gardens and Exhibits

Smell that? That’s the aroma of thousands of budding flowers and lush greenery awaiting your visit! The gifted crew of Disney horticulturists have prepared multiple gardens and exhibits – some repeats and some newbies! The exhibits include the Alpine Containers (plant life above the tree line) and the Tropical Rainforest Garden (learn about Mexican rainforests). Our favorite repeats would have the be the Goodness Garden Butterfly House (several species of butterflies’ flutter around you) and the Shakespeare Garden in the United Kingdom (famous quotes and flowers). Just so much to see and experience!

3 – Garden Rocks Concert Series & Dining Package

Chart-topping artists hit center stage to rock the festival with awesome throwbacks! This concert series is available Friday through Monday at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM. New bands this year include Survivor, known for “Eye of the Tiger,” and Smash Mouth, known for “All-Star”. Several musical artists will be returning such as The Guess Who singing “American Woman” and even Blood, Sweat and Tears featuring Bo Bice have returned with their “Spinning Wheel”! PLUS – dining packages are available for the Garden Rocks Concert Series! With a Garden Rocks Dining Package, you’ll have a chance to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of Epcot’s 15 select restaurants and have guaranteed seating at one of the concert series performances later that day. 4 – Outdoor Kitchens

Check out all of the freshest ingredients with Outdoor Kitchens “farm-to-table” offerings. Much like Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, the Outdoor Kitchens portion of Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival offers tasty treats, meals, and beverages around the World Showcase and in other locations throughout the park. 18 Outdoor Kitchens are available with new selections this year. Taste the very freshest, locally grown ingredients as you travel throughout Epcot!

5 – Guided Tours

While we highly recommend wandering aimlessly on your own exploration through the Flower and Garden Festival, we suggest doing at least one of the guided tours available! The three guided tours are Gardens of the World, English Tea Garden, and Behind the Seeds.

• Gardens of the World: Any horticulturist enthusiast out there? Now is your chance to explore horticulture Disney style! A small group will join a knowledgeable Disney horticulturist on a 3-hour walking tour throughout Future World and World Showcase. How does Disney keep their landscaping top of the line and how can you use some of that expertise back home?
  • Cost is $85 plus tax, per guest (must be at least 12 years). Make reservations in advance!
• English Tea Garden: A 20-minute tour of an English tea garden! Learn more about the artistry behind growing and blending herbs for the very best brew of tea!
  • Cost is FREE! Just sign up first thing in the morning for one of the scheduled tours which fills up after 20 guests have registered.
• Royal Tea Garden Tour: The Royal Garden Tea Tour begins at 9:45 AM in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot. Your tour guide will lead you through an elegant tea garden, where you’ll spend approximately 45 minutes exploring the garden in-depth, and learning the artistry and history behind growing and blending tea. Your tour ends with a stop at the Rose & Crown Dining Room, where you’ll be served scones and tea!
  • Cost is $20 per person including tax. Make reservations in advance!
• Behind the Seeds: This 1-hour tour is available at The Land Pavilion year-round actually but is extra appreciated during the Flower and Garden Festival. Visit 4 greenhouses and a fish farm to catch a glimpse of amazing plants, insects and fish.
  • Cost is $25 per adult and $20 per child. Make reservations in advance!

6 – Let the Kids Flourish

We’ve mentioned a couple of activities above that might interest your child (Butterflies on the Go and the How-To Garden), but you’ll also want to check out the two Interactive Play Areas. These play areas are gardens that are especially for your children to explore.

Play Full Garden
Location: Imagination Walkway
On your mark, get set, stay healthy! Gather the entire family for interactive activities that focus on nutrition and wellness at this brand-new playground and outdoor kitchen.

Bo Peep’s Playtime Training Grounds
Location: Along the Test Track Walkway
Have fun in this playful playground and garden inspired by Bo Peep and the rest of your Toy Story pals. It’s a fun, innovative and interactive area for fans of all ages!

Lastly, as you and your children explore Epcot, have them be on the lookout for the DCF logo. This is the Disney Conservation Fund logo that can be spotted throughout the park, to remind guests that Disney is committed to supporting programs that reverse the decline of at-risk wildlife and increase the time kids and families spend together outdoors.

7 – Flower and Garden Festival Passport

Did you know, much like Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival has a Passport to guide guests through the many activities? You’ll want to be sure to snag a Passport upon entrance to the park.
