10 DO’s and DON’Ts for Disney’s FastPass+ System

8 – DO make your FastPass+ selections as early as possible.

Disney limits the daily number of FastPass+ reservations for each attraction, so especially popular rides, shows, and parades will likely run out. Imagine being stuck in standby lines for several hours for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Ever After, Avatar Flight of Passage, or Toy Story Mania! With countless park guests choosing their attractions up to 30-60 days in advance, you may find zero passes for these beloved rides on the morning you arrive. Remember: the early bird gets the seat on the roller coaster.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you are able to make your FastPass+ selections beginning 60 days in advance of your arrival. That 60 days is counted from the first day of your vacation, but you get to make your passes for the entire length of stay! So if you have a 7 day vacation, you actually get access earlier than 60 days for those days later in your vacation. This means you don’t have to get up at 7 am, seven days in a row to book FastPasses – a very nice perk!  If you are not staying at a Disney World resort, you can make them beginning at 30 days in advance of your arrival, if you have linked valid park admission to your My Disney Experience account.  It is highly recommended that you make your FastPass+ selections as soon as you can so that you get the best times and the attractions that typically book up fast like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Ever After or Avatar Flight of Passage.
