DISNEY NEWS ROUNDUP: New Nighttime Show; Full Tiana Ride Video; Private Island Preview; Pride Month Foodie Guide; Attraction Reopening & More

Summer 2024 is here, and things are starting to heat up at Walt Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line. A new drone show is now running nightly at Disney Springs, and you don’t want to miss it. We’ve got new details on the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Musical Jamboree. We’ve learned the reopening date of a popular attraction that has been closed for several months, and we’re gearing up to visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point this week! 1 – New Drone Show Debuts at Disney Springs and It’s Amazing!

“Disney Dreams That Soar presented by AT&T” is a new nighttime drone show at Walt Disney World Resort this summer, running now through September 2. With nightly performances, the show illuminates the skies above Disney Springs utilizing state-of-the-art drones to feature beloved Disney characters. Set to a sweeping original soundtrack and iconic movie quotes from movies like “Peter Pan,” “Dumbo,” “Wall- E,” “Big Hero 6,” and “Star Wars,” the show celebrates taking dreams to the skies and the joy of flight. 2 – Disney Released Full Ride-Thru POV Video of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

3 – Follow Along as We Visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point with Disney Cruise Line!

We are so excited to announce that we’re about to set sail with Disney Cruise Line for a preview of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the Disney Magic. We’ll be enjoying a quick yet fun, three-night Caribbean cruise with a stop at Nassau, as well as the new island destination. 4 – Disney H2O Glow After Hours Events Return to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

During Memorial Day Weekend, guests had a “glowing’’ good time at the first Disney H2O Glow After Hours event of the summer at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. This after-hours party gives guests an opportunity to enjoy the tropical Disney water park with shorter wait times during 18 select nights during the summer. Learn more about the event below!

5 – Disney Eats Pride Month Foodie Guide 2024

6 – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Reopening in July

According to the Walt Disney World website, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will reopen on July 27, 2024. The coaster has been closed for most of the year so far for routine refurbishment. No theming changes have been made.

 

7 – First Look at New Country Bear Musical Jamboree Costumes

This summer, the Country Bears are gearing up for a whole new show with a nod to Opry-style performances in Nashville. The Country Bear Musical Jamboree will feature renditions of classic Disney tunes reimagined across country music genres like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and more. Recently, Disney shared a first look at some of the new costumes coming to the show. Visit the link below for all the details.

8 – Captain Mickey Bow Art Revealed for the Disney Adventure

One beloved Disney Cruise Line tradition is to adorn the bow of each ship with a Disney character that embodies the ship’s unique spirit and personality. On the Disney Adventure, Captain Mickey will take the helm to lead magical journeys, setting sail from Singapore in 2025. 9 – Pride Specials at Disney Springs Restaurants Benefiting The Center Orlando

Throughout June many restaurants at Disney Springs are celebrating the vibrancy of the LGBT+ community. Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs will donate a portion of proceeds from every Jalapeño Business cocktail sold to The Center Orlando, which works to promote and empower the LGBT community and its allies through advocacy, education, information, and support. The cocktail features Casamigos Blanco, Dos Hombres, grapefruit soda and jalapeño agave.

The Patina Restaurant Group’s locations at Disney Springs are also participating with four unique and delicious cocktails. At the end of the month, Patina Restaurant Group’s Orlando locations will also make a donation to The Center Orlando. See below for drink descriptions.
