NEWS: So Many Updates! 10 Exclusive Offerings Coming to the Disney Destiny That We’re Excited For

The Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line’s next ship and sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in November 2025. This epic ship will draw on the legacies of Disney’s larger-than-life heroes and villains to forge a legendary cruise vacation steeped in the lore of illustrious Disney stories. The new Disney Cruise Line ship will debut one-of-a-kind venues and experiences that complement the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining, and unparalleled hospitality that make every Disney Cruise Line vacation legendary.

We recently enjoyed a sneak peek, at the Disney Destiny showcase, at the exclusive offerings coming to the ship and were blown away by what we learned. We absolutely loved the Disney Treasure, but we’re pretty sure the Disney Destiny will give it a run for its money and find its place among guests as their favorite Disney ship. Learn about the ten exclusive offerings and new details below.

1 – Heroes and Villains Take Center Stage in the Ship’s Design & Entertainment Offerings

The tone and feel of the ship will be quite different than the Disney Wish (fantasy) and Disney Treasure (adventure). The theme of the Disney Destiny is Heroes and Villains, a first-of-its-kind design that sets it apart from its sister ships. Through some Disney magic, your favorite heroes and villains, universally beloved for their strength of character and distinctive personalities, live in harmony on the Disney Destiny and will inspire guests. The ship will be a celebration of the bold, charismatic, and driven characters at the heart of the many myths and legends, fairy tales, and fantasies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Disney Parks.

The experience will be different than other ships, with the guests interacting with their favorite heroes and villains in new ways. The Disney Destiny will introduce exclusive new ways to interact with favorite villains, rogues, and mischief-makers, including:

• Two brand-new entertainment experiences with Cruella de Vil, where guests can either put their personal style to the test on Cruella’s very own wretched runway or take part in a bit of treble-making as they create a lyrical tribute to her marvelousness at De Vil’s (see #7).
• Dr. Facilier will be lurking around the Grand Hall with dazzling parlor tricks, sleights of hand, and games of chance.
• Maleficent will hold court at Saga, where guests can witness her magical prowess from afar or dare to approach her for an up-close and personal demonstration.
• Loki, the fan-favorite character from Marvel Studios’ films and the “Loki” television series, will try to declare himself ruler of the ship and its occupants, creating chaos throughout the voyage with grand proclamations, questionable storytelling, surprise competitions, and more in the Grand Hall.

Hero fans can look forward to greeting Minnie Mouse in an all-new outfit! Captain Minnie Mouse is debuting a brand-new look exclusively for the Disney Destiny. Inspired by the “heroes and villains” theme of the ship, Minnie will don a new superhero ensemble as she boldly leads guests toward their vacation destinies.

2 – Update on the Ship’s Stern Character – Spider Man

For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel superhero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny, with a larger-than-life sculpture of Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots decorating the back of the ship. At the Showcase, it was revealed that the larger-than-life sculpture is in its final stages of completion and will soon be installed among the filigree on the back of the ship. Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots attempt to assist with decorating the stern. Check out the video below for a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

3 –The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny will be its most striking and prominent gathering space, a living theater where heroes and villains from across the Disney universe take center stage and interact with guests in thrilling ways. Inspired by the rich lore, distinctive iconography, and vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films, including a stunning statue of the Black Panther himself at the heart of the space. During the Showcase, Disney revealed new details about the design and progress of the upcoming statue of T’Challa, the original Black Panther.

Walt Disney Imagineering is currently putting the finishing touches on this stunning depiction of T’Challa standing strong atop a jut of rock, the feline form of a black panther at his feet. To set this bronze statue apart, Imagineers designed a textured black finish with silver and purple accents that infuse the sculpture with a sense of life, capturing the power and grace of the King of Wakanda.

The Grand Hall will also come to life with immersive shows and interactive programming. The ever-changing Grand Hall will even react to the presence of certain characters through 360-degree lighting effects that fill the room with life and color, taking on the signature aura of some of the biggest personalities of Disney, Marvel, and beyond. Check out this never-before-seen concept art showcasing a wickedly cool new look for this incredible space!

One such transformation will take place with the arrival of Loki, the fan-favorite character from Marvel Studios’ films and the “Loki” television series, who will create chaos throughout the voyage with grand proclamations, questionable storytelling, surprise competitions, and more.

4 – Disney Hercules

The Walt Disney Theatre will be an opulent show palace that comes alive with dazzling Broadway-style productions, including an all-new headliner developed exclusively for the Disney Destiny: “Disney Hercules,” a dazzling retelling of the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film. “Disney Hercules” will be a brand-new, Broadway-style retelling of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film developed exclusively for the Disney Destiny.

During the Showcase we heard from the show’s creative team who shared their enthusiasm for the new show. We heard how the show will begin in a museum with Grecian artifacts and statues to bring a realism to the show. This Hercules exhibit will kick off the show that will feature the same story we know and love with new and fresh music and choreography for modern audiences.

One really interesting thing that was shared was that there will be a new song, “Shooting Star,” featured in the show. This song was originally supposed to be in the film but never made the final cut. Thankfully, it’s bring brought back and will debut for the first time in a live stage show.

The show will feature jaw-dropping puppetry to represent the mythological behemoths that Hercules must defeat to fulfill his hero’s journey, such as the multi-headed Hydra monster as seen in the new concept art below. The show’s creators spoke of the challenges of bringing the fight between the Hydra monster to the stage, requiring the use of completely new technologies to bring the puppets to life.

At the end of the session, we were treated to a surprise performance of “Go the Distance” sung by Corey Bradford, Hercules himself! He has an amazingly powerful voice, and his performance gave us chills. We can’t wait to see it during the production. Watch the performance below!

5 – The Sanctum

The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange, featuring familiar icons like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The centrally located entertainment parlor will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage, offering guests a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffees along with entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that seemingly materialize from across the multiverse.

We tasted drinks from the upcoming lounge, and they were delicious. My favorite was the Vapors of Valtorr: Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles. Doctor Strange is Chad’s favorite Marvel movie, so we are really looking forward to enjoying this space on the Disney Destiny.

6 – Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King

The iconic songs and legendary moments of “The Lion King” will come to life at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the renowned Walt Disney Animation Studios film. As families dine, a colorful ensemble of live musicians and storytellers will take the stage and present a retelling of Simba’s story from cub to king, along with a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack.

A uniquely themed menu with authentic African spice blends, sauces, grains and produce will underscore this exceptional dining experience, allowing families to expand their horizons with traditional dishes from across the continent and discover new spins on Disney Cruise Line guest-favorite dishes.

We had a chance to enjoy some of the food that will be served during the dining experience, and we are so excited for this one. Our absolute favorite dish was the Port Wine Braised Center-Cut Beef Short Rib: Malanga Mash, Long Green Beans, and Crispy Shallots. The Pan-seared Berbere-spiced Roasted Chicken was also very good. Save room for dessert because the Warm Chocolate Malva Pudding: Sweet vanilla pudding, apricot jam, warm buttery cream sauce, and vanilla ice cream, was delicious. We also enjoyed the drink, Can You Feel the Rum Tonight?: Starr 7 Year Oak Aged Rum, Amarula Cream Liqueur, mango smoothie mix, a pinch of cinnamon, shaken with ice, and garnished with a fresh mint leaf, which was very tasty and yes, I did feel the rum!

7 – De Vil’s

An evening at De Vil’s piano lounge, located just off the Grand Hall, will be a lavish affair emblematic of the bar’s namesake, the fabulously over-the-top Disney villain Cruella de Vil. Guests will wind down in style with trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines and bubblies in an extravagant atmosphere evoking Cruella’s infamous flair for style, from the Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic to the signature color palette of black, white, and red.

We enjoyed the Fashionista: Freeze-dried strawberry and banana-infused Patron Añejo Cristalino Tequila with banana liqueur, agave nectar, and fresh lime juice clarified with milk and chilled. We also had a chance to interact with Cruella for a short time. As mentioned in #1, Cruella will visit the lounge and comment on guests’ fashion choices and also work with the piano player for some de Vil type music. Our Cruella was perfect of course, and it will be a lot of fun in the actual lounge during the cruise. We think this is a great new way for guests to experience one of their favorite villains.

8 – Edna Á La Mode Sweets

The all-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets will be a one-of-a-kind confectionary where a marvelous selection of handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats will be served from Edna Mode’s lab, where the famed fashion designer whips up outfits for the world’s most famous Supers in Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films.

During the Showcase, we had a chance to take some of the treats that will be available. We tried Violet’s Cupcake, a Purple Velvet Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse that was delicious. Other options include:

• • Incredible’s Cupcake – Double Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate truffle mousse
  • Edna À La Mode Cupcake – Vanilla Marble Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse
  • Elastigirl’s Cupcake – Orange-Almond Cake with raspberry mousse
  • Edna À La Mode Chocolate Bark Postcard – white chocolate, dark chocolate, and chopped cookies ‘n cream cookies
  • Jack-Jack Chocolate Bark Postcard – dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and mini chocolate chip cookies

Walt Disney Imagineering also shared a look at two “incredible” statues that will find their home in the sweet shop.

Taking cues from the “Auntie Edna” short film, the statues showcase Edna Mode, fashion designer for the world’s most famous Supers, hard at work while attempting to entertain the unpredictable super baby Jack-Jack with sweet treats.

Imagineers partnered with Pixar Animation Studios to create sculptures, from sketch to digital models to reality. When finished, they’ll be transported to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany for installation and finally prepared for the sweetest of photo ops aboard the Disney Destiny.

9 – Hero-Worthy Accommodations

With luxurious accommodations that embrace the duality in every great story, a hero’s welcome will be waiting for guests aboard the Disney Destiny. Each stateroom will showcase custom artwork depicting the epic journeys of famous Disney legends, evoking a sense of awe and inspiration as families rest, reconnect, and dream of far-off places. During the Showcase, it was revealed that the murals will depict journeys of famous Disney and Pixar legends, such as Hercules, Mulan, and Merida. We also got a look at the character-inspired stateroom number placards that will line the halls of the guest room floors.

10 – New Disney Destiny Merchandise

Guests sailing on the Disney Destiny will have four different merchandise lines to choose from. There are so many things I want to get that I feel like I’d better start saving now!

Disney Destiny Inaugural Collection

A commemorative keepsake from the Disney Destiny Inaugural Collection will be a must-have for guests sailing during the ship’s debut season. Crafted in the deep blue, rich purple and gleaming gold hues of the Grand Hall, this expansive assortment will feature eye-catching wearables, beautiful homewares and elegant pieces from favorited brands like Loungefly and Pandora. Note the Inaugural Collection will only be available during the ship’s debut season which is one year from its debut on November 20, 2025.

Disney Destiny Logo Collection

The Disney Destiny Logo Collection will boast trendy adult apparel and accessories featuring both the Disney Cruise Line logo and a custom line drawing of the bow of the ship. The bold, stylish designs will be modern and simplistic, with sleek tone-on-tone patterns and a striking palette of onyx and gold — perfect for stand-out pieces that command attention.

Disney Destiny Super Character Collection

Inspired by the ship’s “heroes and villains” theme, the playful artwork of the Super Character Collection imagines Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto as a daring crew of “hydro heroes,” each with their own unique superpowers. Featuring vibrant, colorful graphic designs reminiscent of comic book drawings, the collection will include everything from apparel and accessories to plush, pins, and drinkware.

Disney Destiny Ship Collection

Honoring the ship’s unique personality and distinctive character features, the Disney Destiny Ship Collection will offer signature Disney vacation souvenirs. With a themed spirit jersey, ear headband, ornament, beach towel, pin, and more, most inspired by the statue of Spider-Man that will adorn the stern, this line will be essential for Disney Cruise Line enthusiasts who are gathering their own collection of ship-specific keepsakes from across the fleet.

Disney Destiny Inaugural Season

The Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in November 2025, followed by an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
