NEWS: Marvel Day at Sea and Pixar Day at Sea Return to Disney Cruise Line in 2026
Disney Cruise Line has announced that two of our favorite themed cruises, Pixar Day at Sea and Marvel Day at Sea, are returning in early 2026! Learn more below.

Are you bold enough to sail with the largest assembly of Marvel Super Heroes – along with a few villains – across land and sea? Do you dream of playing with your very favorite Pixar pals during a magical ocean adventure?
Disney Cruise Line’s fan-favorite themed sailings will launch in a whole new way in 2026. Texas, get ready to assemble! For the first time, Marvel Day at Sea will bring heroic thrills to Disney Magic voyages out of the Port of Galveston starting in January.
Get ready to play! Pixar Day at Sea will make its return to the Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral, Florida, in January, with beloved Pixar characters bringing extra magic at every turn.
Marvel Day at Sea Hits Texas
For the first time out of Galveston, Texas, Marvel Day at Sea will transport your family into the thrilling universe of beloved heroes and infamous villains in an action-packed adventure at sea. Select four- and five-night Disney Magic sailings will offer adventurous entertainment for the whole family, plus character encounters and special themed dining and merchandise, all culminating with a clash between good and evil on the upper decks in a spectacular deck party.
Spider-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Thor, Loki and Black Panther are among the dozens of favorite heroes and villains from across the multiverse that will collide onboard the Disney Magic during Marvel Day at Sea in 2026.
The excitement of the Marvel Universe will come to life at sea with experiences for the whole family. In Fathoms, a big-band, star-spangled tribute to Captain America will unfold with a special USO show, featuring vintage dance numbers and an appearance from the Star-Spangled Man himself! Recruits of Wakanda will convene in the atrium for warrior training with the mighty Okoye, General of Dora Milaje. For you aspiring young heroes, themed youth activities like the Avengers Training Initiative will give you the chance to test your Super Hero skills.
Classic Disney characters will also join in the heroics as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends dress up in their favorite Marvel gear during Mickey and Minnie’s Super Hero Celebration.
Finally, Marvel Heroes Unite, a signature nighttime spectacular on the upper decks will sweep you up in a daring battle with thrilling stunts, special effects and fireworks at sea as Marvel Super Heroes and villains engage in a battle of destiny that cuts across the multiverse.
Pixar Day at Sea
Pixar Day at Sea is BACK! Gather your finest Pixar-themed attire and play with your very favorite toys, monsters and supers throughout the ship, complete with character encounters, themed dining and special merchandise. On select five-night Disney Fantasy sailings out of Port Canaveral, Florida, your family will experience the beloved Pixar tales of “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out,” and “Coco” during this fun-filled adventure, starting with the Hey Howdy Breakfast, a musical breakfast themed to “Toy Story.”
Every member of the family will find some fun during Pixar Day at Sea. For those looking for a turtle-y righteous celebration on the big blue, head to the upper decks for Crush’s Totally Awesome Pool Party, full of dances and games led by Crush’s Pixar Party Patrol. If you’re more about the presentation, darling, don your best Pixar fashion and strut your stuff for the ultimate critic, Edna Mode, during Edna Mode’s Style on Parade. Just remember… “No capes!”
Your taste buds will have a blast, too! Live like Remy during Anyone Can Cook, a live cooking demonstration with Disney Chefs. Can you guess what’s on the menu? Ratatouille, of course!
The sun will set on the Pixar Day at Sea fun and games during the Pixar Pals Celebration on the upper decks. You’ll dance the night away in a high-energy deck party with all of your favorite Pixar friends.

Pixar and Disney go hand in hand, and bringing Pixar to Disney Cruise Line makes perfect sense. While Pixar Day at Sea is a one-day event where guests can experience exclusive themed activities, entertainment, dining, and more, some offerings are available all week long for guests to enjoy. We’ll tackle Pixar Day at Sea in two separate articles because so much is offered. In this article, we’ll focus on offerings that fall outside of the actual Pixar Day at Sea and are either offered all week or on a day separate from Pixar Day at Sea. Learn more below.
1 – Your Favorite Pixar Movies and Characters
Pixar has produced some of the most beloved characters that Disney fans love. During the Pixar Day at Sea Cruise, some of the most popular movies are brought to life, and guests can interact with their favorite characters. You’ll see characters from beloved Pixar tales of “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Finding Nemo,” “Inside Out,” “Ratatouille,” “Up,” and “Coco.”
From the moment you step onto the ship, you’ll see a Pixar Day at Sea photo backdrop where you’ll want to take a photo! It will be up all week, so you’ll have time when it’s convenient.
2 – Exclusive Merchandise and Novelty Items
If you’re a Disney novelty item collector, you’ll love the items available during the Pixar Day at Sea cruise. During our cruise, we saw Woody’s boot, a Pixar ball sipper, a Green Alien sipper, a Mater popcorn bucket, a Coco sipper, and a few straws. The items are available throughout the entire cruise. Check them out in our Instagram post below:
The Pixar Day at Sea merchandise is also available all week, and we purchased our items on the first night of the cruise. Some sizes may be limited, so we recommend purchasing your items on the first evening so you get the size you want. Items include a Disney Pin, an ornament, a long-sleeve shirt for adults, a t-shirt for children, and a car magnet.
3 – Pixar Treats at Sweet on You
During the cruise, you’ll want to stop by Sweet on You, the sweet shop on the Disney Fantasy. Here you’ll find Pixar treats such as the Joyful Lemon Cupcake, Toy Story Letter Blocks (chocolate blocks filled with mixed candy), and the Sherriff Rice Krispy Treats Badge. You’ll also be able to enjoy Jack Jack Num Num Cookies, Lightning McQueen Cupcakes, Edna Marshmallows, Anger cakes, and Andy’s Strawberry. All of these items are available for purchase and are not included with your cruise fare, but we felt the prices were very reasonable. Take a look at some of the items below (click any photo to enlarge).
My sisters and I all got the Num Num Cookies with vanilla ice cream on top. They heated the cookies, which are thick and brownie-like, and they were delicious. The treats at Sweet on You are available throughout the cruise, not just on Pixar Day at Sea.
4 – Pixar Magic in Your Room
Another offering that happens before the actual Pixar Day is some pixie dust in your stateroom. All guests will be given a Pixar Day at Sea cling on their verandah door or porthole the night before. Not only is this a great keepsake, but it’s a fun addition to bring the Pixar fun into your stateroom.
If you want to really bring the Pixar magic into your stateroom, consider purchasing the Pixar Room Décor Package ahead of your cruise. Our friends at Disney Cruise Line surprised us with the décor package the night before Pixar Day at Sea, and it was awesome to have the Pixar celebration in our room. The package includes a ceiling banner, a door magnet, two hanging garlands, an oversized beach towel, and two pillowcases. These keepsakes will be fun to have at home after the cruise.
If you order the Pixar Room Décor package, it will be in your stateroom on the first day of your cruise!
5 – Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends
A new, interactive character dining experience is offered as part of Pixar Day at Sea and is hosted by Sheriff Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye and includes sing-a-longs, cowboy serenades, and all the country breakfast fixins. As we noted in our Day 2 Travel Log, the Hey Howdy Breakfast with Woody and Friends will take place on two different days than Pixar Day at Sea. This allows guests to jump right into the day’s activities without missing out because of the breakfast. We loved this, and it was great to experience the breakfast on another day. Pixar Day at Sea is included on select Disney Fantasy cruises from January through March 2024.
