Entertainment on the Disney Treasure – What You Need to Know

When sailing on Disney Cruise Line, guests can enjoy world-class entertainment experiences, immersing families in the fantastical worlds of their favorite Disney stories. On the Disney Treasure, guests will experience original productions, guest-favorite shows, and experiences for the entire family to enjoy. Learn more about the entertainment offerings on the Disney Treasure below.

1 – The Walt Disney Theater

The Walt Disney Theatre comes alive with original Broadway-style productions developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line. On the Disney Treasure, this elegant 1,274-seat theater is equipped with state-of-the-art production equipment, including the most robust projection mapping capabilities of any Disney ship and a Dolby Atmos 3D audio system to create a transformative theatrical experience rivaling anything on land or at sea. The Disney Treasure offers two returning shows, both Disney Cruise Line fan favorites, and a new show that is exclusive to the Disney Treasure.

2 – An Embarkation Celebration — ‘Disney Seas the Adventure’

On the first night aboard the Disney Treasure, guests embark on a musical voyage into some of their favorite stories during an original musical spectacular, “Disney Seas the Adventure.” When Captain Minnie hands over the helm to her dear friend Goofy, he sets sail into uncharted waters on a journey to discover his own inner captain.

Along the way, Goofy encounters a bevy of bold, brave, and brilliant Disney and Pixar friends who encourage him to lead with his heart through rousing renditions of iconic Disney songs.

    • Tiana teaches Goofy the power of hard work to make a dream come true during a lively performance of “Almost There” from Disney Animation’s “The Princess and the Frog.”
    • Goofy navigates the big ocean blue, where Crush and Squirt — the tubular turtles from Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” — show him how to “Go with the Flow.”
    • In an original arrangement exclusive to this show, heroines Elsa, Moana, and Merida perform a powerful medley of “Into the Unknown,” “How Far I’ll Go,” and “Touch the Sky.”
    • When Goofy loses his way and self-doubt takes hold once again, he gains the courage to “Go the Distance” with the help of Hercules and a host of heroes from a variety of Disney films.

The adventure culminates in a cavalcade of characters joining Captain Minnie and Goofy on stage during a fond farewell.

3 – “Beauty and the Beast”

A tale as old as time takes the stage with “Beauty and the Beast,” a musical production inspired by Disney’s live-action adaptation of the animated classic. The show expands upon the most imaginative elements of the highly anticipated live-action and classic films to delight Disney Cruise Line guests aboard the Disney Treasure.

Audiences once again fall in love with the enchanting fairytale as they embark on a sweeping journey to discover the power of transformation through true love and courage. This production of “Beauty and the Beast” celebrates the live-action film’s romance, adventure, and magic, weaving in the charm and nostalgia of the award-winning animated feature. On the Disney Treasure, an innovative take on the story transforms renowned songs into spectacular, show-stopping numbers, and lavish costumes and puppetry bring a fresh perspective to beloved characters.

4 – “Disney The Tale of Moana”

The brand new “Disney The Tale of Moana” is found exclusively at the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Disney Treasure. The new show brings Moana’s adventurous tale to life for the first time on stage. Guests experience Moana’s story like never before, showcasing new songs, large-scale puppeteering, and innovative special effects. The show is fantastic and easily the best stage show on Disney Cruise Line!

The set design, music, and choreography burst with Pacific Island culture elements that inspire the classic coming-of-age tale. During the show, Moana and Maui perform a new song, “Warrior Face,” where the demigod teaches Moana how to face her fears.

One of the most impressive parts of the show is the incredible puppetry that brings to life some of the characters to life on stage. Disney Live Entertainment Creative Director of Puppetry and Articulation, Jeff Conover, teamed up with master puppet designer Michael Curry, whose creations are featured in Disney’s Tony Award-winning musical “The Lion King” on Broadway. The most impressive puppet is the massive, fiery Te Kā, a towering 13-ft-tall puppet. During the show, when Moana meets Te Kā and restores the heart of Te Fiti, the giant Te Kā puppet sheds its fiery shell and becomes the gentle island goddess, Te Fiti herself. The scene is unbelievable, and we wondered how they did it.

The cast is outstanding, and Kaena Kekoa, the actress who plays Moana, was born for this role. She and the other cast members bring the story to life in such a memorable way. “Disney The Tale of Moana” is a show that we recommend seeing twice, which means skipping your main dinner and watching both performances. It’s that good!

5 – Signature Pirate Night with a Rock-and-Roll Twist

Another guest-favorite Disney Cruise Line experience returns aboard the Disney Treasure. As on the Disney Wish, Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party offers a fresh take on the fleet’s signature nighttime deck celebration sure to delight landlubbers and freebooters alike.

On one special night of every voyage, guests of all ages can don their most swashbuckling pirate garb and head to the upper decks for a rollicking rock-and-roll extravaganza, complete with fireworks at sea like only Disney can do.

Hosted by Captain Redd — a descendant of the famous red-headed rogue from the Pirates of the Caribbean theme park attractions — the show features live music, remarkable stunts, special effects, and plenty of surprises.

Throughout the party, she and her band of head-banging buccaneers perform famous rock-radio hits, plus a thrashing rendition of the classic pirate tune “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me).” When Redd assembles a fearsome council of captains, including the notorious scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow, they unlock a sparkling treasure lighting the night sky: a fantastic fireworks display underscored by an original arrangement of the sensational soundtrack from the Walt Disney Studios “Pirates in the Caribbean” films.

6 – Immersive Enchantment in Entertainment Venues

On the Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line combines innovative design and technology to create the next generation of family entertainment venues. These imaginative environments surround guests in storytelling in new ways, putting them front and center as they play a part in the magic.

The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall is the key to unlocking a trove of captivating new entertainment, including dedicated shows, character encounters, and musical performances. As the story unfolds for guests on the Disney Treasure, the “Aladdin”-themed Grand Hall will serve as the ship’s most prominent gathering space, inspiring wonder and exploration during each voyage.

Sarabi

Named for the lioness matriarch from Disney’s “The Lion King,” Sarabi is a central hub for a multitude of daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The uniquely designed two-story space evokes the natural beauty and openness of the savanna and features cruise line classics such as “Match Your Mate” and “Family Time Game Show,” and new favorites that debuted on the Disney Wish like “Villains Game Night.” The venue is outfitted with a two-story LED screen wall, stylish stage, full-service bar, and spacious seating — creating an energetic atmosphere on the lower level buzzing with community and life. The balcony offers a more intimate setting for enjoying the festivities in small groups, with secluded seating in semi-private booths.

Hero Zone and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas

Hero Zone and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, popular spaces from the Disney Wish, will provide family entertainment aboard the Disney Treasure. Hero Zone will offer a progressive sports and recreation venue where action-packed physical challenges will blend with game show-style competitions, while the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, intimate, luxe screening rooms, will elevate the onboard cinematic experience for guests to watch first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.
