We are so excited to announce that we’re about to set sail with Disney Cruise Line for a preview of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the Disney Magic. We’ll be enjoying a fun yet quick, three-night Caribbean cruise with a stop at Nassau, as well as the new island destination. We hope you’ll come sail away with us and follow along during another DisneyLists.com cruise week! Learn more about our upcoming trip below!

Editor’s Note: Disney Cruise Line is providing us with a complimentary Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point Preview cruise with special media-specific events and tours during the cruise. However, as always, the thoughts and opinions about Disney Cruise Line contained in this article are entirely our own.

1 – Cruising

Chad and I have enjoyed sixteen cruises over the years and like to cruise as often as possible. We have enjoyed five cruises on Disney Cruise Line, and each cruise has been so special. Over the years, we’ve learned a lot about cruising, and we try to share that knowledge with our readers. For this cruise, our two daughters will be joining us! They also love Disney Cruise Line, and we’re thrilled to get to enjoy another cruise with them.

2 – Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line has been making smiles at sea for over twenty-six years! Since its inception, it has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge, and children can experience all Disney has to offer. The Disney fleet includes five ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish. The sixth ship, the Disney Treasure, will set sail in December 2024! Two more ships are scheduled for delivery in 2025 — the Disney Adventure with a homeport in Singapore and the Disney Destiny! Itineraries include locations such as the Caribbean, Bahamas, Alaska, Europe, and most recently Sydney, Australia! Some of our best cruise experiences have been on Disney Cruise Line, and we love the unique experience only Disney can provide at sea.

3 – Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney Cruise Line will soon welcome guests to a one-of-a-kind island destination at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, located on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas. Created in close collaboration with local artists and advisors, the vibrant island retreat will be a unique celebration of Bahamian culture brought to life with the quality and service of a Disney vacation. There will be plenty of familiar spaces, such as a family beach and Serenity Bay, an adults-only location, a barbecue lunch, and play spaces for all ages. Mickey, Minnie, and the gang will have new exclusive island wear designed by acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett. The garments will have a distinct Bahamian flair inspired by the bright, colorful spirit of Junkanoo, the country’s signature festival filled with joyous music and vibrant parades. At Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Mickey and Minnie’s looks will be part of a collection of colorful works of art by local creators, which guests will see and experience throughout the new island destination. We’re so excited to experience the island on Friday, June 7!

4 – The Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line’s first vessel to hit the high seas, the Disney Magic, set a precedent for a fleet designed with families in mind, including signature offerings such as rotational dining, Broadway-style shows, themed dining, character encounters, and fireworks at sea. On the Disney Magic, guests can enjoy the AquaDunk, a 37-foot-tall body slide that begins with a surprise launch; revel in a royal celebration at Rapunzel’s Royal Table; get lost in a tale of self-discovery and love during an exclusive live performance of “Tangled: the Musical”; rediscover beloved stories, songs and characters during other Broadway-style stage spectaculars; and enjoy much- needed “me time” at dedicated kids’ clubs and adult escapes. The Disney Magic was the first ship we sailed on with Disney Cruise Line, and we’re so excited to sail on the Disney Magic once again!

Chad & Cindy Nykamp

After years of multiple Walt Disney World vacations, Cindy and Chad's dream of living in Orlando came true in 2010. After friends and family made them their go-to-people for Walt Disney World advice, Cindy and Chad launched DisneyLists.com in August 2015 to share their knowledge and love of Disney. Chad and Cindy have been Disney World Annual Passholders for years, DVC members, together have raced more than 70 runDisney races, and particularly love cruising on the Disney Cruise Line. Chad and Cindy also regularly represent DisneyLists.com at Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line media events. While attending these events, they get an insiders view of all the new things that have come to Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. These experiences have helped them gain knowledge and expertise they happily pass on to their followers. They still can't believe how lucky they are to have such an amazing opportunity and will continue to share Disney with anyone who will listen!
