Joyful Sweets on the Disney Wish – What You Need to Know

When dining on the Disney Wish, the latest Disney Cruise Line ship, there is no shortage of fantastic dining options for families. There are plenty of new quick and casual family dining options, most of them included with your base cruise fare. We’ve got a rundown of all the great options when cruising on the Disney Wish. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets 

Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is a dazzling dessert shop inspired by the Disney and Pixar film, where guests find an abundance of handmade gelato, ice cream, candy, and novelty treats for purchase.

This brightly colored destination resembles the control center inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, where her emotions guide her through everyday life. It features sculpted figures of the film’s five main characters and glowing Memory Orb light fixtures.

The shop offers nearly 40 flavors of gelato and ice cream, with daily handcrafted gelato specials in decadent combinations like peanut butter pretzel and white chocolate raspberry. Whipped cream, fruit competes, and sauces are freshly made in-house to complement a wide selection of tasty toppings.

Signature treats inspired by the film include colorful cupcakes representing the five emotions — Joy (lemon), Sadness (blueberry), Disgust (pistachio), Anger (red velvet), and Fear (bubble gum) — and chocolate Memory Orbs filled with sweet candy remembrances. Specialty macarons and cake pops join the assortment of handcrafted truffles, designer cookies, indulgent brownies, and vibrant candy.

Our Thoughts and Review

We enjoyed our treats at Joyful Sweets. The little shop is very fun and whimsical. There are a lot of different options for guests to enjoy. While I prefer ice cream, the gelato was good and flavorful. That being said, because these treats are an additional cost and are not included in your cruise fare, unless you really want one of these specific treats, we find there are so many wonderful desserts included in your cruise fare that you probably don’t need to spend the extra money. However, if you do choose to purchase one of these treats, you won’t be disappointed!
