Disney Vacation Club Member Lounges – 5 Things You Need to Know
“Welcome Home” from Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has never sounded so good! The perks of DVC Membership don’t just stop at all the already exciting benefits. DVC Members can now take advantage of two fantastic DVC Lounges at Disney World. Check out these five things to know about the DVC Member Lounges to make the most of your experience!
1 – DVC Members Only
If you are DVC members, you not only made the right decision for you and your family’s future Disney property vacations and destination vacations around the globe – but now you have the chance to reap the benefits with not one but two members lounges located at Disney World. Unfortunately for many, the DVC Member Lounges may never be seen as these lounges are for DVC Members only. The only way around this is for a non-member to be in the same resort reservation party with a DVC member, as the lounges do allow members to bring up to four guests per Membership Card, or the number of guests on their Resort reservation, booked within their Membership.
2 – Three Lounges, Three Locations
The DVC Member lounges are tucked away and likely unnoticed by those who don’t know to look for them.
- McKim’s Mile House—A Member Lounge @ Frontierland in Magic Kingdom
The newest lounge, McKim’s Mile House—A Member Lounge, offers eligible members and their guests a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy another space that fits perfectly into Frontierland’s story. The lounge was founded by the fictional McKim Family in the 1800s during the height of the Gold Rush and served as a resting place for countless guests as they made their way West by stagecoach.
- Top of the World Lounge-A Villains Lair @ Disney’s Bay Lake Tower
If you’ve ever stayed at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower next to the Contemporary Resort, you may have seen exciting things happening at the very top of the tower. Situated beautifully at the tip-top of the tower is the stunning Top of the World Lounge. The lounge has been re-themed!
- ImaginAtrtium – A Member Lounge @ Epcot’s Imagination! Pavilion
Located in the Imagination! Pavilion, DVC members will want to head over to the classic Figment attraction. Nestled just above Figment, DVC members are welcome to stretch out and relax at this member lounge!
3 – Here’s How It Works
Now that you know where to find the lounges, here is the rundown on how DVC Members can gain access.
- Top of the World Lounge-A Villains Lair
Upon entrance into the Bay Lake Tower lobby, look for the DVC Member counter located immediately to your left. Provide the Cast Member with your ID and your DVC card. The great news is DVC members don’t have to be staying at Bay Lake Tower to experience the lounge. As long as the member is staying at a DVC resort, you are welcome to enjoy the Top of the World Lounge! Once the Cast Member confirms your DVC Membership, they will escort you to an elevator – press a special button and send you to the top!
- ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge
The stairs and elevator for the ImaginAtrium Lounge at Epcot are located in the Figment attraction gift shop. You can either ride Figment and access the lounge as you exit or just go in the backside through the Figment gift shop. You will notice a stand at the bottom of the stairs with a Cast Member present. Just like the Top of the World Lounge, present your information to them, and they will allow you to access the lounge. Please be aware that admission to Epcot is required to gain access to the lounge.
- McKim’s Mile House—A Member Lounge
The location of McKim’s Mile House is at the front to Frontierland closer to Liberty Square. It is located in the old Shooting Gallery attraction and is next to the Frontier Trading Post. Find it on the left side of the walkway if you are facing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Unlike the other lounges, the entrance is not hidden and can be seen from the main walkway. A Cast Member will greet you at the door for access to the lounge. Be aware that admission to Magic Kingdom is required to gain access to the lounge.
4 – Sneak Peek Inside
The big question is always – what’s it like inside? Here’s your insider peek!
- McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge
When you enter the lounge, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back to the mid-1800s. From the wallpaper to the ceiling to the fabrics and the beautifully hand-carved fireplace, the room fits the theme of Frontierland perfectly. huge inspiration for McKim’s Mile House is the art and legacy of Disney Legend and former Imagineer Sam McKim. He contributed a lot of concept art for the original Frontierland in Disneyland Park. Several pieces of his are on display in the lounge. As part of the lounge’s story, the McKim family lives in the house, so you’ll also see plenty of artwork by the children! The lounge features plenty of comfortable seating, such as armchairs, sofas, and chairs. Throughout the room, there are charging stations for guests’ devices and complimentary Wi-Fi. Complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and more are also offered. Note there is no bathroom located inside the lounge. The closest bathroom will be the one located in between Adventureland and Frontierland across from Swiss Family Treehouse.
- Top of the World Lounge-A Villains Lair
One of the most stunning lounges we’ve seen, the Top of the World Lounge, is everything you would imagine it to be. A massive observation deck surrounds both sides of the lounge on the Magic Kingdom side, which makes it the perfect place to see Magic Kingdom fireworks display with the music piped in through the lounge speakers. Head inside to find an unbelievably elegant and contemporary chandelier hanging in the center of the lounge. The space has been recently reopened with a Villains theme, and the updated menu includes Villain-inspired items! Couches, high-top tables, and unique chairs and benches are placed in a beautiful design throughout the lounge. Have a seat at the bar, which is a masterpiece of beauty all in itself! Here, you can order a drink from the full-service bar. Cast Members walk around the lounge, taking orders if you decide not to sit at the bar. We were especially surprised at the small room off to the left side as you enter the lounge. This room is a VIP booth room that can be closed off by a curtain for the privacy of the person using the space. We couldn’t help but wonder what famous people have enjoyed the lounge in that little nook!

- DVC Member Lounge
The DVC Member Lounge has an entirely different tone from the Top of the World Lounge. At the DVC Member Lounge, the atmosphere is bright and airy – not so much in the evening. True lounge style is available at the Top of the World Lounge. We find the DVC Member Lounge to be a perfect place to cool off from a hot day at Epcot. Everything about this lounge exudes bright accents and a calming environment. The colorful carpet, couches, and chairs are very modern and sleek, along with the helpful charging stations for all your electronic devices. Upon entrance, you will spot the circular desk with a DVC Cast Member available to assist you with any reservation needs or questions. Kids can chill out in the TV area on the soft blocks for seating or play Disney Infinity. There are also a couple of computers and a printer available for guests. Our favorite part is the Coca-Cola drink machines available. Enjoy all the complimentary drinks from these machines you could want! There are no restrooms in the DVC Member Lounge – you’ll have to head downstairs to Figment for those. The best part is that the walls and ceiling of the DVC Member Lounge are glass panes that allow the light to pour in and give guests the opportunity to see some fantastic views around Epcot!
5 – Simple Tips
Now that you know what to expect be sure you check the days and times these lounges are available to DVC Members. The Top of the World Lounge is typically open daily from 6 pm to midnight.
