Enchanted Rose Lounge – What You Need to Know
“It was truly an enchanted rose…” – a memorable line from Beauty and the Beast – one of the best animated Disney films, in our opinion! While most Disney fans are familiar with the Beast’s Castle at Magic Kingdom and the Be Our Guest Restaurant inside of it, there is another place to let the classic story of Beauty and the Beast unfold around you. Head to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where you’ll find the Enchanted Rose, a lounge featuring “a tale as old as time.” Here are a few things to know about this fantastic resort lounge.
1 – A Deluxe Destination
It is with “deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you” to Disney’s Enchanted Rose! You’ll find this one-of-a-kind lounge located at Disney’s prestigious Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Head to the second floor of the lobby, where you’ll find the Enchanted Rose spilling into the hallway with a total of four unique spaces. Taking over the former location of Mizner’s Lounge, the lounge space was reimagined and expanded to accommodate the vision of Enchanted Rose. If you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian, you’ll want to make this a regular stop! Arrive via the Monorail if staying at one of the Monorail Resorts, coming from Magic Kingdom, or even the Transportation and Ticket Center. Otherwise, catch a bus to the Grand Floridian from Disney Springs, or you can even Uber to the Grand Floridian. When visiting a lounge, we recommend using Disney Transportation as your safest way to travel after a refreshing beverage or two.
2 – One Story – Four Spaces
Once you’ve reached the Enchanted Rose, you’ll have a chance to wander throughout the lounge to see all the romantic details. This lounge beautifully spreads out the Beauty and the Beast story into four unique gathering spaces.
- The Main Bar / Belle’s Chandelier: The most popular and jaw-dropping space is the main bar area, which features a massive golden chandelier to resemble Belle’s ball gown. The chandelier is stunning with a design that looks to have movement, much like the movement of Belle’s dress. The other focal point is the bar itself with beautiful golden up lighting. There are several windows in this space that overlook the Grand Floridian grounds. Try to find a table next to one of these windows for a relaxing spot!
- The Library: One of the smaller rooms in Enchanted Rose is the Library, which will have you stopping and looking at all the details. The most impressive pieces in this space are, of course, Cogsworth and Lumiere! They are both so intricately detailed. In the Library, you’ll also find what looks like Beast’s enchanted rose in the glass case and magic mirror that we first see in his forbidden West Wing in the movie. The extensive molding and design make even this smaller room a spectacular one.
- The Garden Room: With forest green hues, the Garden Room brings the mystery of the enchanted forest indoors. Massive pictures of the forest surround the room with unique lighting that almost look like small branches hanging from the ceiling.
- The Outdoor Patio: What better way to rest after a long day than on an outdoor patio in the Florida air? Enchanted Rose’s fourth space is meant to symbolize Beast’s outdoor castle terrace. Have a comfortable seat while overlooking some of the stunning views across the lagoon.
Bonus Space – We’ve visited Enchanted Rose when the four spaces above were packed full. Don’t fret! There is seating located in the hallway just outside of the lounge, and servers still come to guests in that location as well.
3 – …Yes, MORE Beverages
If you’re not interested in a table-side cocktail, remember Enchanted Rose is a full-service lounge. Really, they can make whatever you’d like! Browse their featured and grand cocktail menus, however, as you’ll likely spot something on there that calls to your taste buds. Besides the cocktails, you’ll also find martinis, beer and hard cider, a lengthy wine list, and non-alcoholic beverages. A little something for everyone!
4 – Royal Eats
“Well, go ahead and STARVE!”… thankfully Belle tones down Beast’s anger! Enchanted Rose offers a great array of royal eats while you sip so you won’t go hungry. The plates make for great sharable dishes with choices like the Artisinal Cheese Selection, House-made Truffle Fries, and Flatbread – just to name a few.
5 – Beasts and Princesses Welcome
Whether you’re resort hopping on Disney’s Monorail or just need a dose of Beauty and the Beast in atmosphere and beverages, the Enchanted Rose is one resort lounge we highly recommend is worth the visit. The Cast Members are extremely helpful, the drinks are strong and refreshing, the bites are just right, and the atmosphere…well it’s fitting for Beasts and Princesses! We hope you’ll make this one a regular stop on your Walt Disney World adventures.
