5 Best and 5 Worst Table Service Restaurants at Walt Disney World
There are hundreds of dining options at Walt Disney World and of course some of them are better than others. Restaurant preferences are largely a matter of opinion, but we wanted to help you make your dining selections based on some of the restaurants that we consider the top 5 best and top 5 worst restaurants at Walt Disney World:
BEST:
5 – Be Our Guest: Magic Kingdom (Fantasyland)
This is still one of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World and it is easy to see why. Everything about the restaurant has been perfectly themed and designed after the popular animated film, Beauty and the Beast. The food is delicious and inspired after French cuisine. You can even meet the master of the castle, The Beast. This is definitely one that you don’t want to miss, but will need to book as soon as you can.
4 – Sanaa: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village
This is one of the most unique dining locations on property. You can dine overlooking the savanna where you might see giraffes and other animal residents. There is also freshly made naan with a variety of dips and spreads to enjoy. The cuisine is inspired after African flavors, with several delicious options. With a beautiful location, views of animals and delicious food, what more could you want?
3 – Yachtsman Steakhouse: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
If you love steaks, then you definitely don’t want to miss out on dining at Yachtsman Steakhouse. There are a variety of different perfectly aged steaks to choose from, plus delicious accompaniments and starters. There is no way that you will leave hungry! The location is considered a Signature Dining location, so it is on the pricier side and also requires a dress code for guests dining there.
2 – California Grill: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
California Grill is another Signature Dining location, so it is also subject to a dress code and is on the higher end of the table service prices. The location offers a variety of different fresh California flavors. It is also located at the top of the Contemporary Resort right next to the Magic Kingdom. This means that there are amazing views of the fireworks if you happen to be dining during that time.
1 – ‘Ohana: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
This is definitely one of our favorite dining locations. No matter whether you dine for breakfast or dinner, both services are amazing. If you dine for dinner, you may be able to view the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. The meals are served directly to the table and you can order more of anything that you want to enjoy more of, including extra desserts! You better make sure to save room for dessert, too, since the bread pudding in caramel and bananas is one of the most amazing desserts on property.
WORST:
5 – The Plaza Restaurant: Magic Kingdom
The restaurant is perfectly suited to Main Street, U.S.A., but we just find this restaurant to be lacking in options compared to many of the other dining locations. The restaurant mostly just has burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Nothing overly exciting or unique about the location compared to other options that are out there.
4 – Nine Dragons: Epcot, China pavilion
We have tried Nine Dragons a couple of times and found ourselves disappointed. The food wasn’t all that great in our opinion and the service wasn’t very good compared to other locations. There are too many amazing dining locations in the World Showcase for us to want to pick this location as a repeat spot.
3 – Paradiso 37: Disney Springs
The menu at Paradiso 37 didn’t have as much variety as I would have hoped for. The food was just OK, with nothing that had me anxious to go back again. It really seemed to be overpriced for what it is. Disney Springs is the home to several amazing dining locations and this one is toward the bottom of the list. There are just too many other delicious options to choose from!
2 – Tiffins: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The food here is good if you are a foodie who is looking for unique dishes. If you are traveling with your family, particularly with young children, then Tiffins will probably leave you feeling a little disappointed when comparing the price to the food that you get. There are more fun restaurants for the kiddos to enjoy that will be less expensive.
Editors Note: While we agree that Tiffins is not the best restaurant for families, Tiffins offers many unique menu items that are delicious. We feel it’s one of the best Signature restaurants on property! It’s perfect for adults! ~ Chad and Cindy
1 – Hollywood & Vine: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
For the price, this buffet location is usually just OK when it comes to the food selection. There is always a wide variety and some unique options, but nothing that is really AMAZING, especially compared to other dining locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The theme is kind of boring, too, other than the fact that you get to meet and greet with characters.
