12 Things You Need to Know About Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea

Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea is an extremely premium event for all of the little princesses out there that visit Walt Disney World.  If you want an immersive princess experience for your little one, then this is definitely it!  Here are the 12 things that you must know about Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea:

12 – The location for the event.

The event takes place at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at the Garden View Tea Room, which just happens to be located on the ground level of the main building resort. It is just off of the main lobby.

11 – When the event is offered.

This particular tea event is only offered in the morning on select days of the week. The typical days are usually Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These are subject to change depending on different events that may occur at the resort.

10 – You can make reservations 180 days in advance.

It is a good idea to make your reservations as early as possible so that you know you get the date that you are looking for. You will need to be prepared to pay the full cost of the admission at the time of booking since it will be 100% due to hold your reservation.

9 – The event is on the pricey side.

The base price for the event is $333.64, which includes admission for one child aged 3 to 9 and one adult. If you need to add additional guests to your reservation, then you will pay an additional $234.08 for each child (ages 3 to 9) and $98.66 for each guest (10+). If adults are guests 10 and older want to get the unique gifts and some of the same treatment during the event, you can pay the difference so that they are included.

8 – Guests are encouraged to dress up for the event.

The little princesses and princes are encouraged to wear their favorite princess or prince costume during the event to celebrate their tea party with Princess Aurora. It is a lot of fun and a great excuse to dress up. Some of the guests even get their hair done at Ivy Trellis Salon at the resort before they go to the event for the ultimate princess experience.

7 – Each little guest is announced into the event.

After check-in, the little guests are lined up and announced by name, one by one. Once they get up to the host, they are crowned with a tiara and then pose for pictures with the host, Rose Petal. It is a grand experience for all of the guests attending the tea.

6 – Princess Aurora is there.

If you are a fan of Princess Aurora, then you have come to the right place.  She is the only character in attendance, besides the hostess, Rose Petal.  Princess Aurora will meet and greet with guests as well as take pictures with them to commemorate the experience at the event.

5 – The little princesses receive gifts while at the tea.

There are a variety of gifts that are given to each of the young princesses that are attending the event:

  • A special 18-inch Princess Aurora doll dressed in a gown plus accessories
  • A princess tiara
  • A silver princess bracelet
  • A princess necklace
  • A fresh rose
  • A special princess sticker page “Best Friend” certificate for their new Princess Aurora doll
  • A princess cinch bag

4 – There are also gifts for princes.

If there are little princes that are attending the event, they will receive gifts that include:

  • A sword
  • A shield
  • A souvenir pin
  • A plush Disney bear
  • A “Best Friend” certificate

3 – For really young children, you can opt whether to pay for them to attend.

If you have a child under three, you can decide if you want to pay for them to attend or not. In order for them to receive all of the gifts, you must pay the admission for them; otherwise, they won’t receive the gifts and will share your finger foods and juice. If you want them to receive the gifts, then you have to pay the full cost of admission. The dolls are typically substituted with bears instead for the younger guests since the dolls are only age rated for guests that are 3 or older.

2 – The food and “tea” that is served are light finger foods.

This is definitely not an event that you want to come starving to. The food that is included is only finger foods. There are little finger, sandwiches, grapes, cheeses, etc. There isn’t a ton of it either since it is brought to the table, so it really isn’t enough for a full meal. The little guests are service apple juice in a teapot as their “tea,” and older guests will be able to get real teas. There is a strawberry shortcake type of dessert as well, which is delicious!

1 – There are no PhotoPass photographers for the character encounters.

At the end of the event, there is one PhotoPass photographer event. It doesn’t involve Princess Aurora or Rose Petal. During the encounters with both of those two, you will have to be prepared to take your own pictures, so be sure to have your cameras ready.

Kristin

Hi! I’m Kristin, and I am a wife and mother of 2 young boys (ages 5 and 2). I first fell in love with Disney when my mom took me when I was a child. After that I proceeded to go to WDW for my senior trip with my friends, and I completed a year in the Disney College Program (working in merchandise at Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios). I shared my love of Disney with my now husband and sucked him in. We vacationed at Walt Disney World 2-3 times per year. We decided that what maked more sense was just moving to Orlando so that we could live the Disney life and be here for all of our favorite events and seasons every year. That is exactly what we did! Now we are at the parks a couple times a week and go for most events and major holidays. We can’t get enough and get to experience Disney in a whole different way.
