5 Reasons We Love Pinocchio Village Haus at The Magic Kingdom Park in Disney World
We can’t tell a lie (or our noses will grow!) – we love Pinocchio Village Haus quick-service restaurant at Magic Kingdom. Here are five reasons why…
1 – Central Location
Nestled up next to “it’s a small world” attraction, you’ll find Pinocchio Village Haus, a unique quick-service dining option. One of the reasons we find ourselves repeat guests in this village haus (house) is because of its perfect location. It’s easy to find ourselves at this quick-service spot no matter what our plans for the day may be. With a very central location in the park, it doesn’t matter which side you are coming from in Magic Kingdom, it’s easy to find and easy to get to. We especially like to use Pinocchio’s as a great meet up point when traveling with a group.
2 – Unique Food
Have you ever spent your vacation eating at quick-service restaurants and found yourself eating the same thing on repeat? Head to Pinocchio Village Haus for a great variety! Different from the standard menu but still American cuisine, the food options here are our favorite from a quick service location. The menu includes items such as several Flatbreads and chicken breast nuggets. Lastly, you can’t forget about their delicious gelato. As you can tell, there is a slightly Italian flare to the food but still at the typically quick-service prices. Go light, or go heavy on your menu selections and you’ll be pleased either way!
3 – Special Seating
Our number one tip is to try to dine without the crowds, such as an early or late lunch and the same goes for dinner. The reason we suggest this is in hopes you’ll get your pick from some special seating options. Pinocchio Village Haus has a great view of the inside of “it’s a small world”! There are a few tables that sit right next to the “it’s a small world” windows. You and your kids can wave at people on the boats as they go by while enjoying your tasty food. There is another cool spot to dine that seems to be a secret! Look for stairs once inside. At the top of those stairs, you’ll spot a very small loft with just a couple of tables inside and outside! This area isn’t always open, however, but it can’t hurt to see if it is when you dine. It’s a great area for a perfect view of the restaurant inside and of Cinderella Castle outside. Lastly, don’t forget about the cute courtyard outside, especially if the weather is nice. Umbrellas help to keep the sun off of you and keep you cool!
4 – Décor
Welcome to what feels like Geppetto’s village home! Beautiful inside and out (especially for a quick service location), you’ll enjoy checking out the great details. The outside of Pinocchio’s can’t be missed! This German-style village home is definitely unique from its surrounding. Such great woodwork, molding, and design you’ll likely want to pause and take it in. The courtyard outside for seating is super cute and inviting. Just be sure to look up before entering and spot Pinocchio himself inviting you in to dine! Inside you’ll find ceiling to floor woodwork. Intimate lighting, wooden chairs and tables with intricate designs, and wall art with the Blue Fairy, Geppetto, Figaro, Cleo, and of course Pinocchio, can be spotted throughout the restaurant. Plus, let’s not forget about those trouble makers – the Fox and the Cat! You almost expect to run into Geppetto around the corner working on Pinocchio!
5 – Cast Members
We feel like we must mention the unique costumes Cast Members wear at Pinocchio Village Haus! The Cast Members match the theme around them. Sometimes they will even have puppets and walk around to talk with the kids! It’s just those little unique touches that make it special. We will say that Cast Members will not allow you to sit and eat unless you have food present. During the busy months, we’ve even had a hard time with one of us taking the kids to sit while the other ordered. We had to wait for food then could go sit all together. It did make things a little tricky but we understand that they don’t want people coming in to sit when they aren’t eating at Pinocchio’s. You’ll especially see them patrolling the courtyard, as we’re sure people see a spot to sit and go for it.
We highly recommend if you haven’t had a chance to experience Pinocchio Village Haus, you give it a whirl. All real boys and girls are welcome!
