7 Reasons You Need to Bowl at Splitsville in Disney Springs at Disney World

Splitsville is a bowling alley and restaurant at Disney Springs that has been around for a few years now.  You may not think of bowling when you think of activities to do at Disney World, but that would be a mistake because it is a blast!  If you haven’t experienced Splitsville before, here are seven reasons why you absolutely need to bowl at Splitsville on your next vacation:

7 – The location is amazing.

Splitsville is located in the beautiful Disney Springs, and very close to the parking garage so you don’t even have to do a lot of walking to get there!  The building is impressive and is multi-level so that it doesn’t feel like there are people all over the place even if it is a busy day.  The location feels like it is from the 1950’s and very classic, but with a newer age spin on everything.  The music is going and the energy is up. It is a great place to be and hang out at!

6 – It’s Not Outrageously Priced

Prices for bowling are more than you would expect at a local bowling alley, but not so crazy that a family can’t enjoy an afternoon bowling. The bowling experience (see #3) makes the higher prices worth it! Walk-in pricing is set at a Monday-Friday daytime rate from open – 4:00 pm and an evening rate from 4:00 pm to close. The daytime rate is cheaper than the evening rate. Saturdays and Sundays have a fixed price all day from open to close. Your length of bowling time will depend on how big your party is. 1-2 people bowl for 1 hour, 3-4 people for 1 hour and 15 minutes, 5-6 people will bowl for 1.5 hours and finally, 7-8 people will bowl for 1 hour and 45 minutes. 5 – There is an amazing restaurant.

At the location is also an amazing restaurant to dine at.  This isn’t just your nachos and hot dog-type bowling alley food that you may be thinking of.  The food is far more amazing and the menu has amazing items like sushi, steaks, salads, wraps and so much more.  This has become one of our favorite spots for a quick bite with the family, as the food is actually delicious and worth the trip all on its own.

4 – It is fun for the whole family.

This location is family-friendly and appropriate for the entire family to hang out in.  There is no smoking allowed so you won’t leave smelling like an ashtray as you do at many other bowling alleys that you may have visited.  The extra details that you are used to at Disney locations are definitely present at this location and make bowling exciting and a great activity for everyone.  It can also be a nice way to entertain the family while taking a break the hustle and bustle of the parks while you beat the heat and the sun.

3 – The lanes are very high technology.

Each lane is equipped with gutter bumpers that are electronic and be put up and taken down easily.  Everything is perfectly automated and the graphics when you bowl and change bowlers are a lot of fun.  The location is definitely one of the more cutting-edge bowling alleys you will find while maintaining the integrity of an old-school favorite activity.

2 – You get to use Mickey and Minnie bowling balls.

Need I say more than that?  There are Mickey and Minnie bowling balls at the location which just always makes everything more fun!  There is just something about using Mickey and Minnie gear that makes things more exciting!

1 – It also makes a great date night.

While the location is family-friendly and great fun for families, it is also still upscale enough and has late-night hours that also make it a great date night.  With the restaurant, the full bar, and the fun activities, it makes it a perfect date night or night out for a group of adults to have a lot of fun and not feel like they are having a totally kid-type activity.  This has become a regular date night spot for my husband and me when we have the opportunity.  It is a relaxing atmosphere and we get a nice break from the kids while still having a great time.
