BREAKING NEWS: Disney World Making Major Changes to Passes
Disney World has made significant changes to annual passes. The Seasonal Pass will be replaced by a Disney Silver Pass version and a Disney Gold Pass version. Both the Silver and Gold Passes will have blackout dates. The Standard Annual Pass will be renamed Disney Plantinum Pass. Finally, the Premium Annual Pass will be renamed the Disney Platinum Plus Pass and will continue to include admission to the water parks.
The name change is just the start. The Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus Passes will now include complimentary PhotoPass downloads. This is a significant additional benefit for pass holders worth $199 dollars. This is likely a replacement for Disney Quest admission that will be lost when Disney Quest closes. However, this is a significantly better benefit for pass holders both in value and broader appeal. This is a very exciting news and makes an annual pass a great choice for even more guests.
