Osborne Festival of Lights 2015 Dates Announced

If you were as disappointed as we were that 2014 was the final year for the Osborne Festival of Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we have great news. It’s back for 2015! Disney has announced the very popular attraction will return from November 6, 2015 through January 3, 2016.

 





 

Started in the Arkansas yard of Jennings Osborn, the unbelievable collection of lights grew and grew and grew. In 1995, the display moved to Disney World and became a holiday tradition in the Streets of America section of Hollywood Studios. The display is so full of elaborate set designs and hidden details, it’s impossible not to discover something new with every visit.

Every ten minutes the excitement is amped up further as the light dance to many holiday music favorites. The makers of magic even find a way to ensure a pleasant “snow fall” each and every night. This is one of the amazing things that make the holidays a great time to visit the world.

If you’re a fan of the show or haven’t experienced it yet, don’t miss it this year. While no announcement has been made, with all the rumored changes slated for Hollywood Studios you have to wonder how much longer the festival will continue.

Husband, father and lover of all things Disney. Like every kid, I loved Disney and the couple trips I took to Disney World in my early years are good memories. But my obsession began in 2004 when we made our first family visit. It's hard to believe that we almost cancelled the trip because it seemed like a lot of work with 3 very little kids. We were hooked by the end of the first day. By day 3 we were planning our next trip back. By day 5 we were doing the math on DVC. And by the end of the vacation everyone was crying the blues that we had to leave. Since then, Disney World has become our favorite vacation destination, a hobby and now a home. We love the detail of the story telling and the memories of time spent with friends and family.
